Fabulous 13 only a few weeks away, yes, I know it is hard to believe. I am needing all our students to sign up for a service project. There are 17 different service projects and the other groups are making their choices as we speak. So, there is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board outside the high school room and we plan on passing around the sheet during bible bowl. We have several nursing homes, fire stations, the Gospel Rescue Mission and many others. If you are participating in Bible bowl you are required to do the service projects because it counts towards you last round. It is considered the fourth round. We wanted to make Bible Bowl more practical, so we are putting into practice what we have learned from the Bible. We will also have 100 tickets to give away for the Basketball game which starts at 4 p.m. That means we will have classes after the service projects and then a long break from 4-7:30 p.m. If you do not wish to go to the game, the gym will be open, and we will be showing “End Games” in the auditorium. Everyone is on their own for Supper. It should be a great weekend! Don’t miss it.
We had a great lock-in this past Sunday. We studied the book of II Samuel, and had fun hanging out at the building. Almost everyone stayed the night and we had some of our traditional activities such as the late-night devotional and allowing our seniors to share their Bible Bowl experiences. We did play some nerf weapons in the gym along with some volleyball and basketball. It was a great evening and I want to thank Katelynn Goist for staying the night so the girls could stay. David and Nola Fisher along with Tom and Gina Allison
studied in between activities to cover the whole book of II Samuel. The time flew by because we were doing so much in between. Thanks to everyone who participated
Super Bowl Sunday
We usually cancel all activities on Sunday of the super bowl, so that people can spend time with different families watching the super bowl commercials and the game. Although, I do not think that many people are going to watch the game they will probably still get together. So, there will be no drama or bible bowl next week. However, we are meeting today to take a test over the whole book of II Samuel and to start learning Chapter placement. Drama will need to have all their lines memorized and we will be practicing in the auditorium today. It is getting close, so we must be prepared!

We continue to challenge our teens to read their Bible’s every day. We passed out a reading schedule, but they need encouragement on the Homefront. They are reading the book of Romans followed by II Samuel. So please help them by reminding them to read their Bibles. I also have a group of people that are praying every day for each person in the youth group. So good things are happening, lets continue to encourage our teens to be Christ followers every day! Don’t forget there is a group of parents that meet each Friday morning at Wecks to discus the youth group. If you would like to join, please be there at 7 a.m. We usually have a good time. Thanks for your support, God Bless, David
