Blessing Ball
Tonight is our special event called the Blessing Ball.  We would like everyone to be present; we will be passing a volleyball around to everyone who has been a blessing to us throughout the year.  If you are not present, it makes it harder for us to share, so please make plans to come.  We will have a meal, and we will allow plenty of time for people to share.  I also want to encourage you to write an encouraging note on the blessing wall in the hallway.  We are trying to encourage everyone to be positive and grateful this time of year.  The Blessing Ball can be a powerful experience so please enjoy the evening from 6-8 p.m. tonight, November 19.

Thanksgiving Boxes
This Saturday from 9-11 a.m. we will be passing out Thanksgiving boxes to families in Las Cruces.  We have partnered with 3 elementary schools close by us, University Hills, Conlee, and Tombaugh to provide names of families in need.  We have also added names from the community and congregation.  I will need help carrying boxes out to the cars and interacting with the people.  If you can take some time out of your busy schedule to serve the community, this would be a fantastic opportunity for you to give back.   Just let me know if you can serve.  Sometimes the holiday season can be self-centered, and this is a wonderful opportunity to be selfless!

Holiday Schedule
There are no classes next week on November 26 due to Thanksgiving, we will resume on December 3.  That will be our last Revelation class for the high school, and the middle school will have their Christmas party on that day.  They will need to bring a white elephant gift under $5 wrapped without a name on it.  The middle school will share the meal with everyone and then
exchange gifts.  I am sure they will have a wonderful time.  The high school will be going to Dion’s pizza on December 10th so the middle school will NOT be meeting that night.  It will be just for the high school.  They are having a secret Santa, and then we will ALL be together on Wednesday, December 17th for Christmas Caroling.  We encourage everyone to wear a Christmas hat, and their ugly Christmas sweater that night.  We sing at several locations and then eat supper at one of the houses we sing at.  We will return everyone to the building by 8 p.m.   Tis the season!  There will not be youth group again until January 7 which will be a youth worship night, and I will be at a youth conference in Tucson.
