High School Christmas Banquet
Tonight, the high school will be meeting at Dion’s Pizza on El Paso from 6-8 p.m.  We will exchanging secret Santa gifts, enjoy some silly awards and of course eat some tasty food.  If you are unable to come and have a secret Santa, please drop your gift off with the name of the person by the church building before 5 p.m.  If you are able to come, please bring your gift with you.   We are meeting at Dion’s pizza not at the church building.  You can also be picked up from Dion’s pizza because we will not be returning to the building so, please have your parents to pick you up there.   If it is more convenient for them to pick you up at the church building, then I can arrange to take you back by 8 p.m.   The youth wing is presently set up for the Christmas Light show, so it is not available for class or meeting space.   If you did not get a secret Santa that is no problem you can still come, you may not get a gift, but you might be surprised!

Middle school No Meeting
The middle school will not be meeting tonight because the high school will be doing their Christmas banquet, if you do show up at the building you will see a sign saying there is no class tonight.  I am sorry if you did not get the message, but we have been talking about this for several weeks.  We will be meeting next Wednesday to go Christmas Caroling and then there will not be class again until January 7th.  I understand that you had a fun time at the Middle school Christmas party last week.  There were 19 students present, which was a new record for middle school.  I hope you had the opportunity to tell Dom and Kaydin how much you appreciate their working with the middle school this past semester.

Christmas Caroling
We will be Christmas Caroling on Wednesday December 17 from 6-8 p.m.  You will need to be at the building BEFORE 6 p.m. That is when we will be leaving for Casa Del Sol.  Then we will make several other stops before traveling to Robert and Paula Johnson’s home 5411 Four Winds Place.  We should be there around 7 p.m. and then eat, sing some songs, and return to the building by 8 p.m.  We will show the end of the year slideshow at the Johnsons, and it will be our last youth activity of the year.  We will not meet again until January 7th, the day school starts.  We are encouraging everyone to wear their favorite Christmas hat and sweater.

Christmas on the Jordan
The children are doing a Christmas performance on Sunday, December 14 beginning at 6 p.m.  After the play, we will show the Christmas light show in the parking lot along with hot chocolate and goodies.  We have been asked if we can help set up chairs and help distribute the hot chocolate and cookies.  I volunteered with the youth group to help.  If you can help, please stick around to do so.  The light show will last about 20 minutes.  It should be a great evening, and the weather should be great.
